University of the Third Age Site Tour

Members of Cambridge’s University of the Third Age (U3AC) walking groups spent two mornings in April 2023 visiting the Hartree site. U3AC is one of the largest, and certainly the oldest, University of the Third Age in the country.  The University offers members over 300 courses as well as physical activities, such as walking groups.

During the tour, U3AC members were able to look at the features of the current site that master developers, LandsecU+I and TOWN, propose to be retained.  Over tea and cake at the end of the tour, members were able to give their feedback on the latest proposals.

U3AC members also learnt about how wastewater is treated and how treatment has changed over the decades since wastewater was first pumped from the site of the current Cambridge Museum of Technology, where previously it had been treated.

If you are involved in a local organisation and would like to visit the site and find out more about the current proposals please get in touch.
