The Hartree team were proud to present the project at the Festival of Pineapples, following our nomination for a 2025 Pineapple Award in the Future Place category!
The presentation, led by Ben Cartwright of Landsec U+I, covered the values of the project, the extensive community engagement we have undertaken, and a potential day-in-the-life of a future Hartree resident. Following the presentation, Stefan Sjöberg of Kjellander Sjöberg joined Ben to answer the judges questions, which touched on the phasing of the development, the management of open space, and how the masterplan has been shaped by the community.
The Pineapples celebrate the very best in placemaking and place-led initiatives. The Future Place category is judged on how the nominated future places will foster community, welcome visitors and attract tenants, contribute to urban life, and encourage people to dwell, live, work, connect, learn or play, as well as making a positive social and environmental impact.
We are looking forward to attending awards night on 2nd April, where the winners will be revealed. Congratulations to the other nominees for their fantastic presentations!
